Job Description

As an AMI Data Strategist Intern, you will play a key role in analyzing data from Eversource's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) to support strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and validation of AMI data from various sources.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in energy usage, grid performance, and customer behavior.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key AMI metrics and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support the development of predictive models using AMI data to forecast energy demand, identify potential outages, and optimize asset management.
- Research industry best practices and emerging technologies related to AMI data utilization and smart grid initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to understand data requirements and integrate AMI insights into business processes.
- Participate in special projects related to AMI deployment, data governance, and analytics strategy.
- Prepare presentations and documentation of findings for internal review. Job Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in the energy industry and smart grid technologies is highly desirable.
