Data Analyst (Grant-funded FT) - Police Department - Brooklyn Park

The Community Intervention Unit Data Analyst is a full-time (40 hours/week), grant-funded position through 12/31/2027, responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data related to juvenile violence, gang involvement, and serious crimes. This role supports the unit by conducting data mining, maintaining database records (SharePoint), creating Power BI dashboards, and performing threat assessments to guide crime reduction efforts. Key duties include producing intelligence bulletins, supporting major case investigations through leads tracking and crime mapping, and networking with other analysts for information sharing. The analyst also promotes positive community partnerships, manages grant-reported materials, and provides analytics for public and internal dissemination.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in forensics, criminal justice, business management, public administration, statistics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience with data collection and programs.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (including Power BI) and ability to navigate records management systems.
• Experience in statistical analysis.
