About the Role The Data Analyst and Strategist transforms complex data into actionable insights that support business strategy, project performance, and design excellence. Working closely with firm leadership, practice leaders, project teams, the Visualization team, and clients, this role analyzes and visualizes data, develops performance metrics and reporting tools, and identifies opportunities to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and firm growth. This role advances digital innovation by enhancing analytics capabilities, supporting data-informed design, evaluating emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), and promoting best practices that strengthen Hanbury's practice. Job Responsibilities Data Analytics + Business Intelligence Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, solve business and design challenges, and support strategic decision-making Develop and maintain firm-wide databases, project metrics, dashboards, and data visualizations Partner with project teams and firm leadership to define performance metrics, support space analytics, and evaluate post-occupancy data to improve future project outcomes Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities for growth and innovation Develop reporting standards and communicate actionable insights that improve business performance and project delivery Digital Innovation + Process Improvement Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to strengthen analytics and design workflows Develop standards for collecting, maintaining, and validating data across multiple systems while improving data quality and reporting processes Evaluate software, tools, and best practices that enhance firm-wide analytics and operational efficiency Collaborate with the Visualization team and firm leadership to advance digital innovation throughout the practice Leadership + Firm Contribution Collaborate with firm leadership, practice leaders, project managers, and design teams to support strategic initiatives and data-informed decision-making Build relationships across the firm to promote analytics, innovation, and continuous improvement Support and uphold the firm's standards of professional care, and promote its mission, values, and culture Work directly with Hanbury's Design Strategy Directors and Market Leadership to develop data strategies that can be implemented across projects and markets Perform other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in data science, Interior Design, Architecture, Planning, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred 5+ years of professional experience applying data analysis, research, technology, and process improvement to support business, design, or operational decision-making Strong expertise in using spatial analytics tools, BIM modeling, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to collect, analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex data through meaningful insights, visualizations, and actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders Experience developing innovative workflows, standards, and technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and scalability Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop practical solutions Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and consistently deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment Experience leading research initiatives, evaluating user experiences, and applying evidence-based strategies to improve client outcomes, project performance, and business results Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL concepts, including how data is stored, integrated, accessed, and used to measure performance Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable, with a passion for leveraging data, technology, and innovation to enhance client experiences, organizational performance, and strategic decision-making Competitive compensation Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Stock Ownership Plan Disability & Life Insurance FSA/HSA options Generous Paid Leave (based on your experience) Paid Family Leave Educational Benefits Working with an industry leader that values people!
