Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our innovative team. In this role, you will harness the power of data to drive strategic decision-making and optimize business processes. Duties Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and other analytical tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to communicate insights effectively. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and deliver tailored data solutions. Manage data integration processes through ETL tools like Talend and ensure data quality by implementing validation procedures. Support project management efforts by applying Agile methodologies and overseeing the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for analytics projects. Develop database schemas and optimize database design for efficient data storage and retrieval using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems. Automate routine tasks with VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or other scripting languages to improve efficiency across data workflows. Contribute to business analysis activities by interpreting complex data sets and providing actionable recommendations for strategic initiatives. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes using Visio or similar diagramming tools for clarity and future reference. Stay current with emerging trends in analytics, linked data techniques, and new software tools to enhance analytical capabilities. Skills Proficiency in SQL for querying databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. Strong knowledge of data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Looker. Experience with programming languages like R and Python for statistical analysis and automation tasks. Familiarity with ETL processes using Talend or similar platforms to extract, transform, load data efficiently. Understanding of database design principles to create scalable and optimized data structures. Ability to perform business analysis by translating complex requirements into technical solutions. Knowledge of Agile project management practices for collaborative project execution. Experience working within the SDLC framework to ensure high-quality deliverables. Skills in scripting languages such as VBA or Bash (Unix shell) for automating workflows. Knowledge of linked data concepts for integrating diverse datasets across platforms. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret large datasets accurately and effectively communicate findings.
