Data Analyst Intern

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Assist in designing and implementing data collection processes using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools like Talend and scripting languages such as Python and Bash (Unix shell). Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key metrics for various stakeholders. Support database design and management within Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational database systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies to manage projects effectively within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Perform comprehensive data analysis using R, SQL, and other analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform business strategies. Contribute to business analysis activities by translating complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Document processes visually with Visio and maintain detailed records of project progress and findings. Experience Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics or a related field. Familiarity with data analysis skills including SQL querying, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques. Hands-on experience or coursework involving Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar BI tools. Basic understanding of SDLC principles and Agile project management practices. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis. Exposure to database design concepts and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases is preferred. Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately. Excellent communication skills for presenting findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
