Health System Shared Services | Technology Deployment The Cloud Data Solutions Specialist in the Information Technology function is responsible for managing and securing all forms of electronic data, including those related to cloud adoption, architecture, and computing. This role encompasses the design, planning, management, maintenance, and support of cloud infrastructure components, such as network design, virtual machine resource allocation, storage, and security. It also involves maintaining network security in both cloud and on-premises environments, implementing and maintaining firewall rules, and configuring load balancers. The specialist ensures that the cloud infrastructure aligns with overall Information Technology standards and collaborates with stakeholders to meet service tiers, internal Service Level Agreements, and organizational goals. At the individual contributor level, the specialist is expected to work primarily through individual efforts or by participating in functional or project teams. They may also coordinate, influence, or review the work of others and manage one or two direct reports at more seasoned levels. The role requires a fully experienced professional with industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform tasks and projects on a complex and large scope. The minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with an advanced degree in a relevant field being desirable, and 4-8 years of relevant experience. Additional duties may include participating in security audits, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical support for cloud-based and on-premises systems.
