You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain scalable analytics solutions, create intuitive visualizations, and deliver critical reporting that enhances business performance. Using your expertise in data analysis and visualization tools, you'll identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. You'll provide analytics guidance, proactively recommending solutions and improvements based on your findings. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to deliver impactful insights that support our company's continued growth and success. What Will You Do? Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst III to join the Enterprise Services team. In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop scalable analytics solutions, create intuitive dashboards and visualizations, and deliver reporting that improves operational and business performance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical and business acumen who enjoys solving complex problems, uncovering hidden insights in data, and delivering impactful reporting solutions. This position requires expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data analytics best practices, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop scalable, high-performing Power BI solutions. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable business insights. Design, build, deploy, and maintain reporting and dashboards for internal users and external customers. Participate in business and executive meetings to understand reporting needs and recommend BI solutions. Support end users in effectively utilizing reporting platforms and analytics tools. Develop SQL-based database objects and datasets to support reporting and analytics initiatives. Create reporting solutions to monitor and improve data quality and integrity across systems. Collaborate closely with Operations teams to identify data inconsistencies and provide reporting support. Ensure data quality and integrity across data warehouse and BI platforms. Support development and execution of the BI roadmap aligned to business priorities. Develop a deep understanding of business processes, datasets, and analytics deliverables across Enterprise Services. Proactively identify and resolve scalability, performance, and optimization issues. Partner with developers, analysts, and business experts to align technical solutions with business needs. Evaluate tradeoffs between usability, scalability, and performance when designing reporting solutions. Requirements Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline preferred. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Power BI, SQL, data analytics) are a plus Advanced to expertise level proficiency in SQL Server, Power BI, and advanced Excel Experience building complex reports in Power BI with strong dashboard development and report automation capabilities Python skillsets is a plus Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or life sciences industries a plus.
