Job Description
American Marketing & Publishing LLC Position:
Data Analyst Work Location:
915 E. Lincoln Hwy. DeKalb, IL 60115Salary:
$75,000 to $90,000 per yearSPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE
Must be able to perform all of the following: 1)Data Extraction & Preparation:
a.Write and optimize SQL queries against relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL); b.
Cleanse, merge, and structure large datasets from multiple sources (Excel, CSV, ERP exports); 2)
Reporting & Visualization:
a.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS); b.
Produce both scheduled reports (e.g., monthly commission summaries) and on demand ad hoc analyses; 3)
Statistical & Trend Analysis:
a.Perform basic statistical analyses (trend identification, variance analysis, simple forecasting); b.
Reconcile results across data sources and document validation steps; 4)
Stakeholder Collaboration:
a.Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to gather requirements and refine metrics; b.
Experience preparing client facing reports that track and illustrate statistical trends to diverse audiences; 5)
Documentation & Quality Assurance:
a.Document data sources, transformation logic, and report specifications in accordance with internal standards; b.
Conduct data validation and testing in Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions) to ensure accuracy; 6)
Team Leadership & Coordination:
a.Lead weekly stand up meetings and daily task allocation for Data Analysts/SQL Developers; b.
Mentor, train, and review the work of team members to ensure consistent quality and adherence to best practices; and c.
Provide status reports and escalations to the Director of Project Management. Hybrid preferred; option of fully remote with manager approval. Apply at careers@ampcorporate.com
