The Data Analyst is responsible for making data-driven decisions and driving continuous improvement through data collection, quality checks, and providing data analysis and reporting. The Data Analyst enables NJPFL's employees, funders and provider agencies gain insights, monitor compliance, and identify opportunities for enhancing clinical and administrative practices. Responsibilities and duties
Data Management:
Maintain existing data collection and analysis system (Bowlink) in support of the League. Conduct quality assurance checks on the data and flag areas of concern.
Data Analysis, Visualization & Reporting:
Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly automated reports for managers, funders, and member organizations. Assist with data interpretation and identifying opportunities for improvement. Create data summaries including visualizations, dashboards and written descriptions of data findings for a wide range of audiences. Create tables and graphs in a way that supports learning to drive improvement. Create ad hoc reports as requested for League staff, gathering necessary information to complete these requests. Generate quality control reports for all agencies to track their compliance.
Provider & Staff Training:
As part of the onboarding of new providers, provide training in League data management and reporting requirements and training on data submission processes and procedures Provide ongoing technical assistance to staff and providers in submitting, accessing and analyzing data from the NJFPL data system (Bowlink).
Compliance Monitoring/Quality Assurance and Improvement:
Provide data support for periodic (tri-annual) program reviews. Participate in 'program review team meetings.' Identify data patterns and trends that indicate opportunities for improvement in data collection, reporting and clinical and administrative practices.
Meetings:
Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders to present data and key findings. Attend other meetings, as needed, to ensure data quality and provide training, guidance and consultation on data management. Performs other duties as assigned. Employees must work a minimum of seven (7) hours per day with a thirty (30) minute lunch period. Employees must begin the workday between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. All employees are expected to be available between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Hybrid Schedule - The League maintains a hybrid work environment. Employees must work in the League office a minimum of 3 days a week and may work in a remote capacity the remaining 2 days per week. Employees may elect to work in the office up to 5 days a week. Flexible hours and schedule must be coordinated with your supervisor and are subject to change based on business needs. No Travel required. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business/data Analytics. 3-5 years of experience with data management, analysis and quality assurance. Google analytics Certification, Data Analytics (IBM) Certification. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with Excel and statistical analysis tools to analyze and interpret data is essential. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience with data governance or data quality frameworks. Ability to identify and communicate data processing errors and content discrepancies or inconsistencies. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems creatively and independently. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment and contribute to decision making. Ability to effectively manage client expectations and persuasively communicate complex issues and make oral presentations. Exceptional attention to detail. The position requires theoretical and practical application of specialized knowledge in data analytics, statistical methods, and data system management. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties. Willingness to learn and grow with the organization. Strong commitment to the ethos of the organization. Physical Requirements Long periods of sitting. Ability to move throughout the office and walk or get to all areas.
