Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Steward with 5+ years of experience to support data governance, metadata management, data quality initiatives, and stewardship activities. This is a remote position requiring occasional onsite presence only when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage business metadata, definitions, attributes, and data standards. Review data profiling results and identify data quality issues and root causes. Support remediation planning and execution for approved data quality improvements. Provide business context for datasets, including data creation, consumption, and dependencies. Collaborate with Business Data Stewards, Technical Stewards, and System Owners to validate data lineage and system behavior. Support Planning-for-Control readiness activities and escalate data governance risks as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years of Data Stewardship, Data Governance, or Data Management experience. Strong understanding of metadata management and data quality processes. Experience with data profiling, data lineage, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of data governance frameworks, controls, and standards. Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills. Ability to document business definitions, rules, and data standards.
Industry Experience:
Experience in enterprise data governance, data management, or data quality programs. Background supporting large-scale data governance and stewardship initiatives within regulated or complex enterprise environments preferred.
