Job Description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Data Readiness Lead, ERP Transformation.

Remote - Candidates local to Corning, NY preferred, however, candidates in all US locations may be considered for remote work. Candidates must be willing to support EST hours.
Pay Rate:
$52.46 - $101.01/hour
Work Hours:
M-F 8am-5pm
Education:
Bachelor's Degree with technical discipline or equivalent experience
Role Summary:
The Data Readiness Lead ensures that data migrated into
SAP S/4HANA
is accurate, compliant, and business-ready at go-live. This role is critical to reducing data risk, preventing post-go-live disruption, and ensuring measurable confidence in enterprise data quality across ERP transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on execution role embedded within ERP project teams, partnering closely with business data owners, data migration teams, and project leadership to drive data readiness, governance, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data cleansing activities with business data owners to ensure migration readiness
  • Define, measure, and report data quality metrics across project lifecycle
  • Ensure enterprise data standards are applied during design, mapping, and migration processes
  • Track and resolve data defects, issues, and remediation actions across load cycles
  • Manage data approvals, sign-offs, and compliance documentation
  • Partner with ERP project leadership to assess and communicate data readiness status
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate data risks impacting go-live readiness
  • Support stakeholder education and transparency around data quality and readiness
  • Recommend improvements to data readiness frameworks and governance practices
Required Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Data Quality, IT, or Data Migration roles
  • Strong experience with data cleansing, validation, and quality measurement practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transformation environment
  • Strong analytical thinking with ability to apply judgment in ambiguous situations
  • High sense of urgency and self-driven execution mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in large-scale ERP transformation programs
  • Strong hands-on experience with
SAP S/4HANA
data migration and related interfaces
  • Experience operating independently in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate to leadership audiences
  • Project management exposure in transformation or data initiatives
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Contract Role Characteristics:
  • Independent contractor role with no direct reports
  • Execution-focused role aligned to project governance and standards
  • Provides recommendations, risk visibility, and status reporting to leadership
  • No enterprise policy or decision-making authority
Performance Expectations:
  • Zero data-related audit findings tied to migration deliverables
  • No unexpected post-go-live data defects impacting operations
  • Reduced data defect rates across successive load cycles
  • Clear visibility into data quality and readiness throughout lifecycle
  • Minimal disruption to project timelines due to data issues Additional Information
