Non-Exempt Job Description:
This role will collect, analyze, prepare, and disseminate a variety of data and identify the patterns, trends, and changes affecting service issues. The Data Analyst will be providing critical support in increasing the department's efficiency and effectiveness.Examples of Duties:
Acquires, filters and cleans data for reporting and analysis through database design and query building. Troubleshoots query issues and recommends changes in data gathering. Identifies data integrity issues and provides solutions to resolve them. Prepares and distributes reports, charts, publications and related material to track, display and explain findings and report Public works issues Performs a variety of complex professional analyses, including geographical mapping analyses, of relative route information Collects, analyzes, prepares and disseminates information relative to route and repair patterns to assist operational personnel in the City of Charleston's Public Works Department. Coordinates analysis activities with other City departments and outside agencies. Responds to requests regarding for analysis information relating to specific information Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field with strong statistical coursework. Valid state issued driver's license. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Access, SQL, and ArcMap or similar GIS software.Preferred Qualifications:
