Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Epic Data Conversion Analyst certified in Bridges to support healthcare IT implementation and integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, mapping, validating, and supporting data conversion and interface workflows between legacy systems and Epic applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, healthcare data expertise, and hands-on experience with Epic Bridges integration tools. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze source system data and define data conversion requirements for Epic implementations and optimization projects.
  • Design, develop, test, and validate data conversion processes and interface workflows using Epic Bridges.
  • Collaborate with application analysts, technical teams, clinicians, and third-party vendors to ensure accurate data migration and interoperability.
  • Create and maintain HL7 interfaces, mappings, and transformation logic.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Troubleshoot interface issues, conversion errors, and workflow inconsistencies.
  • Support unit testing, integrated testing, mock conversions, and go-live activities.
  • Develop technical documentation including specifications, mapping documents, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in post-go-live support and optimization initiatives. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Epic data conversion, integration, or interface development.
  • Strong understanding of HL7 messaging standards, interface engines, and healthcare interoperability concepts.
  • Experience with data mapping, ETL processes, SQL queries, and data validation techniques.
  • Knowledge of healthcare workflows, EMR/EHR systems, and clinical/business data structures.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Certifications
  • Epic Bridges Certification (active/current preferred). Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Epic implementation or upgrade projects.
  • Familiarity with Cloverleaf, Mirth, or other interface engines.
  • Additional Epic certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with FHIR APIs and interoperability frameworks preferred.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle, clinical, or ancillary healthcare systems.
