Rate of Pay:

$23.00 Under general direction, the Master Data Analyst is responsible for providing master data maintenance and technical expertise. This role supports technology systems upgrades, enhancements, and replacements regarding master data to ensure the highest level of data quality and organizational integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Maintenance:

Enters, validates, and uploads master data elements across business functions; coordinates with users to ensure correctness and completeness of data requests.

Quality Control:

Assists with data management strategies, including data cleansing, quality control, and monitoring master data files for continuous improvements.

Governance & Compliance:

Ensures the organization complies with established data governance rules, policies, and procedures.

Troubleshooting:

Performs root-cause analysis regarding data and system integration problems; recommends and implements corrective actions.

Documentation:

Develops processes, procedures, user guides, and online tools relating to the creation and maintenance of master data.

Reporting:

Prepares detailed reports, presentations, and standard/ad-hoc reports related to master data.

System Testing:

Participates in analysis, validation, and testing for system enhancements and upgrades.

Liaison & Support:

Acts as a resource for COSA departments and external agencies; provides support and informal training for end-users.

Education and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. One (1) year of experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment such as SAP or related experience. Successful completion of a criminal history background check, education, and work history verification, and drug screening test.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of financial and purchasing systems (SAP and ERP). Knowledge of IT processes, including configuration management, change management, and service desk management. Knowledge of complex database applications and queries. Ability to create and use spreadsheets effectively. Ability to perform all physical, intellectual, and analytical requirements, including critical decision-making.

Working Environment:

Work is performed primarily inside an office environment. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computer equipment, telephone, and multi-functioning printer.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other basic office equipment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, management, and the public. Ability to work with project teams to support or develop high-technology systems.
