Monday-Thursday on-site, remote on Fridays Job Description About the Opportunity Openwork is hiring a Data Analyst on behalf of a premier global chemical manufacturing company in The Woodlands, TX. This is a highly structured, execution-focused position perfect for a data professional who excels at maintaining, cleansing, and reporting operational data. In this role, you will support established data reporting and maintenance for innovation-related business processes.
Please note:
This position focuses on operational analytics and reporting maintenance; it does not involve designing new analytics methodologies, systems, or corporate strategies.
Key Responsibilities Reporting & Extraction:
Execute recurring reporting processes, including data extraction, validation, and report generation.
Data Hygiene:
Perform data preparation, cleansing, and alignment using established tools, templates, and methods.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency across datasets.
Dashboard Maintenance:
Maintain datasets, refresh reporting outputs, verify expected results, and support updates for reporting tools, including Power BI.
Issue Escalation:
Identify, document, and escalate data issues, inconsistencies, or anomalies to the hiring manager.
Task Management:
Support the execution of a predefined backlog and reporting enhancement tasks while documenting outputs. Required Skills and Experience (Qualifications)
Experience:
2-5 years of dedicated professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or operational analytics roles.
Advanced Excel:
Heavy proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and large-scale data handling.
Enterprise ERP Systems:
Direct, hands-on experience working with enterprise data systems such as SAP or Ariba.
Data Visualization:
Familiarity with data visualization tools, with a strong preference for Power BI.
Technical Aptitude:
Basic working knowledge of SQL or similar query logic.
Process-Driven Mindset:
Proven ability to follow structured, repeatable workflows with extreme attention to detail and strict data governance compliance.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with cross-functional corporate stakeholders.
