Job Overview The Data and Automation Analyst is an entry-level role designed for an analytically curious, technically capable individual who is eager to work across the data lifecycle—from querying and analysis to data engineering and applied AI solutions. This role will partner closely with business and technology teams to deliver insights, automate workflows, and build AI agents that help team members work more efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with SQL and Python, has a strong foundational understanding of data concepts, and is motivated to learn and experiment with emerging AI tools in a practical, business-driven environment. Responsibilities Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational data sources Use Python to perform data analysis, automation, and lightweight data engineering tasks Support the development of internal AI agents and tools that enable team members to self-serve insights and automate repetitive tasks Build and maintain datasets, reports, and dashboards using Microsoft Power tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Excel) Assist with data pipeline creation, documentation, and data quality monitoring Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions Follow data governance, security, and best practices while handling internal data Experience Entry-level role; internships, academic projects, or applied coursework in data, analytics, or software development are acceptable Hands-on experience using SQL and Python for data-related tasks Exposure to data analysis, data engineering, and analytics tooling through work, school, or personal projects Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, or building tools that improve how teams work Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline) Working knowledge of SQL for querying and transforming structured data Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting Understanding of data analysis principles, including exploratory analysis and validation Familiarity with data engineering fundamentals such as ETL/ELT concepts, pipelines, and basic data modeling Experience with Microsoft Power Suite tools, including Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Excel Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences Physical Requirements Requires prolonged sitting, while working at the computer Why Visionary Homes?
