Job Description

ECS is seeking a Data Insights Analyst to work in our Arlington, VA office. ECS is seekingtalented professionals to join our successful and growing team supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC).JCDCis CISA's flagship initiative for uniting regional government, industry, and international partners to proactively defend against cyber threats. Our ECS team is at the center of providing support to JCDC's critical mission as they continue to plan, share, and respond to cyber threats in real time to support the greater cyber community.

TheData InsightsAnalystwillsupport theJCDC PartnershipsOfficebyproducing actionable solutions to active real-world cyber threats,ensuring that the right people are receiving the right information at the right time.

Thisposition involvesdevelopingadeep understanding of the client's mission and priorities,anticipatingclient needs, andtranslatingthem intoactionable insightsby asking the right questions,analyzingand cleaning the data, and designing clear, visually compelling stories that support decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
Partner withclientstakeholderstoidentifyand documentobjectives,opportunities for improvement, and decision-making needstooptimizeclientperformance and efficiency.

Bridge communication gapswithin diverse communitiesbyfacilitatinginformation to help unify cyber defense capabilities from government,industryand international organizations.

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and pain points and translate those into meaningful recommendations and visual presentations.

Analyze and interpret existing datasetsand dashboardstoidentifytrends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic decisions and drive mission outcomes.

Help transform partner information and outreach datainto clear narratives that highlight the real impact of the office and guide client focus for executive briefings and reports.

Synthesizeinformationfrommultiple sources into clear insights and visual use cases using tools such as MS lists, PowerBI, and Excelto inform project decision-points.

Support the maturation of data practices by helping to define and implement data governance standards and reporting procedures.

Work with client stakeholders to prioritizedatabase/dashboard elementsin terms of mission benefitand provide recommendations to support the effective collection, analysis, and reporting of partner information.

Respond to ad hoc client needs arising from a dynamic, continually changingenvironment,by adjustingstrategy,reprioritizingwork as needed, and proactivelydocumenting andcommunicatingthe resulting impacts.

US citizenship withtheability to obtain andmaintainDHS Suitability (EOD)Bachelor's degree(or equivalentexperience)incybersecurity,computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or other relevantdisciplines.5+years offront-lineconsultingexperiencewith a proventrack recordofdeliveringdataanalytics work productsthat addressquestions and decisions ofcentral importanceto clients' missions.

Ability toidentifystrategic improvements independently and briefpeers orleadership accordingly.

Experience generating data products and reports that organize data analysis in a consumable format for a broad range of stakeholders, including interactive data visualizations and infographics.

Expertproficiencyin using toolssuch asPower BI,SharePoint, MS Lists, Excel,Slack,andCRMsoftwaretoorganize andpresentpertinentinformation in intuitive, usefulformats.

Keenunderstanding of the value of data quality and its importance to effective dataanalytics.

Ability to articulateessentialquality aspects of available datato clientsand limitations of what can be learned from them.

Ability to take initiative as a self-starter, ask clarifying questions, and take directions.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Familiarity with the operations and mission ofDHSCISA, JCDC, or other federal cybersecurity organizations.
