Clinical Informatics & Medical Data Structuring Must be able to convert unstructured clinical information (e.g., physician notes) into structured data and map it to standard medical vocabularies (SNOMED, ICD, LOINC, RxNorm, etc.). Clinical Workflow Analysis & Documentation Must have experience documenting and analyzing clinical workflows and translating them into EHR processes and data management practices. EHR Data Validation Must have experience validating EHR data using external data sources and cross-checking (triangulating) data within the EHR to ensure accuracy and reliability. Clinical and Business Communication Must be able to communicate clinical findings, data analysis results, and workflow recommendations clearly to clinicians, medical staff, and leadership who may not have technical backgrounds. BonPreferred (but not mandatory) Clinical background (Nurse, Pharmacist, Physician, etc.) Correctional healthcare experience Experience with EHR implementations and standardization projects Working directly with clinicians in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment Quick screening question: If a candidate has EHR data extraction + clinical workflow documentation + data validation + healthcare informatics knowledge + strong stakeholder communication , they likely meet the core requirements of this role.
