Job Description
The Quality Assistant is an integral member of the quality team at Lakeview Specialty Hospital & Rehab. This role supports ongoing efforts to maintain regulatory readiness, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and drive continuous quality improvement across the organization.
As a Quality Assistant, you will be a self-starter who demonstrates initiative, accountability, and attention to detail. This position requires the ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and identify and communicate areas of concern or opportunity through audits and data review. The Quality Assistant collaborates closely with the Quality Coordinator to enhance patient safety, performance outcomes, and overall organizational excellence.
Independently conduct routine quality audits, as assigned, and assist with follow-up reviews.
Identify findings, trends, and potential compliance gaps; communicate results and collaborate on corrective action plans.
Compile and maintain quality metrics, logs, and dashboards used in reporting and performance improvement activities.
Take ownership of assigned projectsensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables.
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, agendas, and documentation for Quality-related committees.
Support education, monitoring, and survey readiness related to Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and the State of Wisconsin requirements.
Assist in policy and procedure review processes to ensure alignment with current standards and best practices.
Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity in all quality and compliance functions.
Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in responding to departmental priorities and hospital-wide initiatives.

Experience in a healthcare setting (preferably in quality management, compliance, or performance improvement).Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to recognize issues during audits, conduct follow-up reviews, and share findings with recommendations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with data entry or quality software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize data clearly and professionally.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Works independently while managing day-to-day priorities and department needs.
Flexible part-time schedule (approximately 20 hours per week).Occasional extended hours may be required for audits, surveys, or reporting deadlines.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.Experience in a healthcare setting (preferably in quality management, compliance, or performance improvement).Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
