Description We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Science Engineer to help us combat climate change and meet our company goals. Join us to help investigate emerging technologies and develop next-generation products. Responsibilities As part of the Energy Services Engineering team you will be responsible for helping to build robust, highly scalable data platform that enables services that support millions of users. You'll also have the opportunity to be involved with early development investigations, prototypes, and 3rd party integrations. You'll work with passionate problem solvers, designing and building impactful, best-in-class services for one of Apple's most innovative spaces. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering with 4-5 years of data engineering or backend engineering experience Strong Experience with Python, Kotlin or Java Hands on experience with data pipeline orchestration Proficiency with SQL and analytical query engines (Trino, Snowflake, BigQuery) Experience designing data models and table schemas for analytical workloads Experience with data quality monitoring and validation Passion for people, code, and improving our future Preferred Qualifications Experience with Lakehouse formats (Delta, Iceberg, Hudi) Exposure to ML pipelines or MLOps Experience with time-series data at scale Background or interest in energy, climate, or sustainability Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
