Data Scientist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support manufacturing operations. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions. Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources including systems, SQL databases, and Excel. Develop and optimize DAX calculations and data models to enhance report performance and usability. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business definitions. Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests as needed. Identify trends and insights to help improve operational performance, such as efficiency, quality, and throughput. Essential Skills 1-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting. Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation and visualizations. Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience with data transformation tools, such as Power Query or similar. Basic understanding of data modeling concepts, including relationships and star schema. Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders. Work Environment The work environment involves using advanced technologies such as Power BI and SQL databases. You will engage with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions meet business needs. The role offers a dynamic setting focused on improving operational performance through data-driven insights. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
