Job Description

Join our team as an Ontology Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in designing and maintaining knowledge models that drive healthcare data analytics and AI solutions. This remote position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experts and innovate in the field of semantic technologies. Responsibilities Design and develop ontologies using semantic web standards to support healthcare data initiatives. Create and manage knowledge models for various administrative and analytical use cases. Ensure alignment of internal data models with industry standards and healthcare terminologies. Collaborate with domain experts to translate complex concepts into formal ontology models. Support the evolution of graph databases and knowledge graph platforms. Partner with AI and engineering teams to enhance semantic models for downstream applications. Contribute to ontology governance and best practices across the organization. Skills Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Knowledge Engineering, or Ontology Development. Proficiency in RDF, OWL, SKOS, and semantic web technologies. Advanced skills in SPARQL for managing ontology data. Experience with healthcare interoperability standards like
FHIR, SNOMED
CT, and ICD. Hands-on experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or TypeDB. Working knowledge of Python and experience with SQL, NoSQL, and graph-based data technologies. Preferred Skills Experience with ontology reasoners and SHACL for validation and constraint management. Familiarity with terminology services and enterprise terminology management platforms. Exposure to healthcare AI, semantic search, and knowledge-driven AI systems. Experience in supporting large-scale healthcare data initiatives.
