Job Description
Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Data Scientist (level I, or II). This position will be located in Rolla, MO. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa for this position.
Summary:
A Data Scientist is responsible for working cross functionally in the organization with different groups to assist in data collection plans, to analyze, process, and model data, and to teach data collection strategies and data analysis. Data scientists will work with subject matter experts to interpret the results to create actionable plans for the company to optimize and improve our revenue streams. Additionally, data scientists will monitor and work toward ensuring the company shows a high statistical IQ in all outward-facing interactions.Responsibilities:
Data Scientist I:
Work with diverse data from a wide range of projects across the business unit. Perform data cleaning and manipulation to prepare datasets for analysis using techniques such as standardization and decomposition. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify correlations, data integrity issues, and missing data. Analyze large datasets to generate insights and identify patterns, working under guidance from senior data scientists. Communicate data findings and suggest potential improvements to analyses and approaches. Automate ETL (extract, transform, load) processes and monitor their performance. Collaborate with scientists to understand data requirements and provide analysis support. Develop basic statistical visualizations to highlight multi-dimensional correlations within data. Seek feedback from senior team members and business groups for improving data analysis processes.Data Scientist II:

Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights, anomalies, and correlations from complex datasets. Automate and enhance existing data analysis pipelines and ensure quality control throughout the process. Code as necessary in support of statistical consulting, maintaining organized documentation of code, encouraging other's documentation of code, and troubleshooting other's code. Design, develop, and optimize advanced statistical models and machine learning (ML) and/or artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. Apply and integrate a variety of data pre-processing techniques to improve data quality and analysis outcomes. Participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and data-driven decision-making. Conduct detailed analysis and help develop strategies to improve data accuracy and integrity. Provide support to junior data scientists and assist in mentoring them in analysis techniques and tools. Develop clear, visual reports that effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.Education & Credentials:

Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or relevant field and Experience with SQL or similar language preferred and Intermediate Python skills or similar language preferred and Background in data analysis, parsing, and manipulation or An equivalent combination of education and related experience.Data Scientist II:
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant STEM field 2+ years of data querying experiences such as SQL or similar language or An equivalent combination of education and related experience.
