Job Description
Technical Cost Analyst role focused on technical evaluations, should-cost studies, design-to-cost analysis, cost modeling, engineering data analysis, and systems-level trade studies. Requirements 6+ years of experience in engineering, technical, procurement, production operations, data analytics, data science, or related disciplines Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field Experience with technical evaluations Experience with should-cost studies Experience with design-to-cost analysis Experience with cost estimating Experience with supply chain market research Ability to learn and apply complex cost-modeling tools such as SEER or TruePlanning Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD documentation Knowledge of 3D modeling concepts Knowledge of design for manufacturing Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience conducting data analysis and making technical recommendations Preferred Skills Experience with SEER or TruePlanning cost-modeling software Experience supporting engineering cost models for complex systems Experience with production operations, procurement, or supply chain cost analysis Experience leading data-driven engineering analysis activities Responsibilities Perform technical evaluations Conduct should-cost studies Conduct design-to-cost analyses Support technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation activities Perform cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems Analyze total system products across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal phases Convert customer or product requirements into total system solutions Evaluate technical, schedule, and cost constraints Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation Apply cost-modeling tools and market research data to cost-estimating activities Analyze data and prepare recommendations for engineering and business decisions
Pay:
