DUTIES :
Duty1: As the Da Scientist, directs, manages, and leads pioneering efforts in developing innovive applicions and da visualizion projects for software, air base wing, depot and supply chain management/customers. Duty 2: Analyzes workforce da to identify correlions between leading and lagging trends and with other factors. Duty 3: Performs complete studies of limited scope to identify potential remedies and provide recommendions to sustain and improve organizional health or performance. Duty 4: Conducts research in the areas of analytical technologies and business processes to recommend methodologies to better leverage da analytics in support of the Software, Air Base Wing, Depot and Supply Chain objectives. Duty 5: Communices findings, interim results, and progress orally and in writing. Presents findings in person in both formal and informal settings. Qualificion Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Da Scientist for the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Manpower Personnel Services Directore (A1). The incumbent is responsible for ghering and processing both qualitive and quantitive da, leading pioneering analytical projects, and studying a wide range of Human Resources (HR) initiives through the expert use of da systems like Tableau, Power BI, and Power Apps. The incumbent will apply various advanced methodologies and techniques, conducting in-depth program analysis, constraint reduction, and process optimizion th result in increased organizional efficiencies. The incumbent architects and executes the directore's da science stregy, conceptualizing, building, and deploying sophisticed stistical models and machine learning algorithms to genere predictive insights into the Center's human capital. A key function of this role is understanding and applying coding, automion, and artificial intelligence (AI) to cree dynamic visualizions and extract actionable intelligence from complex dasets. To ensure the directore remains the forefront of talent management, the incumbent will also research, benchmark, and analyze best practices and lessons learned in human capital management, stregic workforce planning, and personnel analytics from across Department of War (DoW) components, other federal agencies, and leading prive sector organizions. The insights gained from this comprehensive analysis used to recommend innovive applicions and inform stregic policies aimed continuously improving personnel readiness, professional development, and long-term retention within the Directore.

This series covers positions th manage, supervise, lead, or perform scientific work th involves designing, developing, and adapting mhemical, stistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques. The work also involves analyzing management problems and providing advice and insight about the probable effects of alternive solutions to these problems. The primary requirement of the work is competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis.
RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND
ABILITIES/Ideal Candide:
1. Professional knowledge of quantitive techniques and methods used to conceptualize, develop, adapt, modify, and apply new models to resolve the most difficult problems and to achieve support for alternive solutions within the scientific community. 2. Knowledge of a broad range of defense department or prive sector systems, big da analytics, machine learning, AI, cognitive science, programs, operions, stregies, tactics, resource and informion processes, force structure, and weapons systems. 3. Proficient in programming languages such as R, Python, Java, C++, Scala, SQL, or others. 4. Ability to visualize da using systems such as advanced Excel pivot tables/charts, Power BI, Dashboards/report, server, Tableau dashboards/server, QLIK dashboards/scripts, and Dabricks da connections/da cleaning/scripting. 5. Proficient in stistical analysis in order to understand the significance of different da set tributes, perform feure engineering, and develop custom da models and algorithms. 6. Ability to research, develop, or apply descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and/or prescriptive models to identify the best artificial intelligence (AI) solution design. 7. Ability to communice effectively both orally and in writing; negotie complex and/or sensitive issues; and maintain good working relions.
