We combine deep market expertise with advanced quantitative modelling to deliver strategic insights on market behaviour, investment decisions, policy, and system transformation. Our work spans power market analytics, regulatory design, decarbonisation pathways, and commercial advisory, supporting governments, developers, investors, and utilities to make confident, future focused decisions. As demand grows for more sophisticated, data-driven insights, our team continues to evolve, integrating advanced modelling techniques, automation, and innovative tools to stay ahead of market change. Through our work, we play a key role in shaping the future of energy systems, supporting the transition to low-carbon, reliable and economically sustainable power markets. This role will contribute to ensuring our modelling and insights directly influence how the region invests in and delivers the energy transition. We are looking for an Energy Market Analyst / Modeller to join our growing advisory team, supporting the delivery of high-quality market analysis and modelling across electricity and gas markets. At this level, you'll bring a strong foundation in energy markets alongside data, coding, and modelling capability, with the opportunity to further develop your market and economic knowledge on the job. You will contribute to complex projects, helping to analyse market trends, interpret policy impacts, and support the development of modelling outputs that inform real world decisions. This is an opportunity to build your profile as a well-rounded energy market specialist while playing a hands-on role in projects that shape investment, policy, and system outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
#LI-KH1 Analyse electricity and gas markets, including pricing, supply-demand dynamics, reliability, and competition Develop and apply economic and market models (e.g. scenario analysis, dispatch or investment modelling) Assess costs, benefits, and risks of energy infrastructure, policy, and regulatory changes Clean, manage, and analyse large datasets and contribute to building models using tools such as Excel, Python, R, or Power BI Support the delivery of client projects, including preparing reports, presentations, and briefings Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Here's what you'll need Demonstrated experience in energy markets or a related analytical/modelling role Strong quantitative, data, and coding skills, with experience using tools such as Python, R, Excel, or similar Experience working with or developing models; exposure to electricity market modelling tools (e.g. PLEXOS or similar) preferred Background in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, data science, mathematics, economics or similar) Experience analysing market trends, system behaviour, or investment drivers within the energy sector Ability to translate technical analysis and modelling outputs into clear, practical insights Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a desire to continue building market and economic expertise With safety and flexibility always top of mind, we've gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximize your potential.
