Job Description

Hiring for two Model Based Systems Engineers (MBSE)/ Cameo Modeler Job Description This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply and expand your systems engineering experience, focusing on modeling, simulation, and analytical skills. The role involves working on digital artifact capture systems, MBSE development, architecture modeling, simulation and co-simulation, data analytics, data visualization, and decision support. This client-facing role provides a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Cameo MBSE System Model to serve as the authoritative source for system architecture and requirement relationships. Manage model configuration, libraries, and reusable elements within the MBSE environment to maintain integrity and consistency. Ensure model consistency, validation, and adherence to MBSE best practices. Model architectures of complex systems using digital engineering modeling notations. Support development, configuration management, and maintenance of MBSE artifacts, model interfaces, and modeling tool updates through the full lifecycle of product development. Translate customer needs and future goals into a plan by crafting model-based approaches and evolving them with advanced technology solutions. Plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex systems solutions. Essential Skills Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML diagrams such as Block Definition Diagrams and Internal Block Diagrams. Experience in system modeling and simulation to analyze system behavior and performance. Demonstrated proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for technical presentations. Self-starter with expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering tools, processes, and languages. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, SysML, or similar. Proficiency with MBSE tools and plugins such as Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, Cameo Cloud Collaborator, and Project Merge. Experience with project-based teamwork. Knowledge of Confluence and JIRA. Experience creating and developing custom SysML profiles. Interest in complex multi-disciplinary problems and systems engineering. Work Environment The role requires working three days in the office, with Tuesday and Wednesday being mandatory. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment with an experienced team who will mentor and share best practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
