Move Sales, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking Staff Data Scientists to be responsible for supporting Native (app) products and experimentation. In addition, this position will be responsible for partnering directly with the primary functions of the business to drive consumer engagement, conversion, and overall optimization of the consumers journey for our Apps and lead submissions. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Data Science principles and concepts, as well as experience applying advanced analytic disciplines, to perform the duties of the position.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
Lead and support the Product team in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Consumer internet businesses. Collaborate with the team to develop and monitor KPIs to drive high-level oversight of business initiatives and company health, and develop regular insights from the data to enable performance management and facilitate accountability. Develop business plans and metrics for strategic product initiatives and business lines, and partner directly with cross-functional teams to facilitate achievement of short and long-term goals. Deliver high-quality data-driven business analyses that address business issues with effective solutions and provide key insights leading to actionable recommendations. Collaborate and guide the Product organization on data-driven decision making, idea generation, and rigorous measurement. Lead exploratory analysis to identify and size product development opportunities to determine tradeoffs between product features that grow and optimize the product offering. Drive and develop product learning agendas, design multivariate tests, and synthesize analytical results into practical recommendations that inform key business decisions. Partner with the engineering and business intelligence teams to drive improvements to tracking and data quality. Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand product performance, conduct complex initiatives that address key strategic questions and drive assorted ad hoc projects. Own all behavioral analysis insights and deep dives; lead all efforts for consumer segmentation and analysis. Guide and inform OKR development with product leadership. This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.
Minimum requirements:
Masters degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or any related field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or any related field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained. Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following: 1. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: online media, consumer audience-oriented, or consumer internet. 2. SQL. 3. Translate business problems into analytical framework and develop analytical plans for answering complex problems and deliver analytic insights. 4. Interface with technical resources with broad, and multi-disciplinary expertise. 5. Apply analytic disciplines to financial, consumer audience, user experience, and product-level modeling, forecasting, marketing. 6. Excel including pivottables, lookups, and data linking. 7. PowerPoint including advanced graphing, visualization and presentation. No travel requirement. Hybrid work environment with work from home (WFH) benefit available some days.
