Senior Data Engineer - Palantir Foundry - Ontology & Data Modeling

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Palantir Foundry to design and implement data-intensive applications with a strong focus on data modeling and ontology design. This role involves building scalable data platforms, supporting optimization and decision-making systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data engineering, Foundry platform capabilities, and Python-based data processing. Key Responsibilities Design and implement data models and ontology structures within the Palantir Foundry platform Build and enhance scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and export Convert and re-architect existing data models into ontology-based representations Implement data validation, transformation, and business logic using platform tools Develop interface components and examples for consuming ontology data Provide guidance on best practices for data modeling and platform usage Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders in Agile environments Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and flexibility Support integration with external data sources and systems Contribute to the development of data-driven applications and decision-support systems Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field (or equivalent experience) Strong experience in data engineering and building data-intensive applications Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including data modeling and ontology design Experience working with ontology management tools and frameworks Proficiency in Python for data processing and transformation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with additional Palantir Foundry tools such as Workshop or similar modules Background in analytics, optimization, or decision-support systems Experience working with large-scale data platforms in industrial or infrastructure domains
