Data Scientist (AI & IT Strategy) Role Overview The organization is seeking a strategic Data Scientist to drive artificial intelligence initiatives and optimize enterprise IT architecture. In this role, you will leverage advanced AI strategies to transform how requirements are gathered, data is managed, and core platforms such as Cloud and SharePoint are utilized. Your expertise will directly support the consolidation of IT platforms and the development of a modern, data-centric infrastructure aligned with mission needs. Key Responsibilities AI Strategy & Implementation Design and implement AI/ML models to automate IT workflows, analyze system usage, and address complex operational challenges. This work will accelerate IT service delivery and modernize operational capabilities. Requirements Gathering Use natural language processing and data analytics to streamline, interpret, and prioritize enterprise IT requirements from stakeholders. This ensures IT modernization efforts align directly with mission objectives. Platform Consolidation Analyze the current IT portfolio using data-driven metrics to identify redundancies and develop consolidation strategies. This reduces technical debt, lowers operational costs, and simplifies the user experience. Cloud Usage Strategies Develop predictive models to forecast cloud resource utilization, optimize workloads, and guide hybrid-cloud strategies. These efforts maximize cloud ROI and ensure scalable, secure infrastructure. SharePoint Maximization Apply data science techniques to improve SharePoint data architecture, enhance search capabilities, and automate governance processes. This strengthens knowledge management, discoverability, and secure collaboration. Enterprise Data Strategy Design and implement enterprise-wide data strategies that ensure data quality, interoperability, and accessibility. This supports data-driven decision-making across all levels of leadership. Qualifications & Requirements Security Clearance Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret). Education Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, IT Strategy, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. Professional Experience At least 5 years of experience in data science, AI implementation, and enterprise IT strategy within a complex organizational environment. Technical Proficiency Strong proficiency in Python and R, experience with AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and deep familiarity with the Microsoft SharePoint ecosystem. Strategic Competencies Demonstrated experience in leading platform consolidation efforts, managing enterprise requirements gathering, and developing actionable data governance strategies. Working Conditions Standard office environment. May require extended hours during project deadlines or system implementations.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. The person in this position needs to occasionally move throughout the office, including across longer distances such as from the building entrance to the workspace.

$110,672.42 - $135,648.51 per year
