Job Description An employer in the Dayton, Ohio area is seeking a Top Secret Data Scientist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will work with complex data to answer key questions and support leadership decision-making, while building AI/ML models and tools to turn raw data into meaningful insights. They will also help connect and organize data systems so information can be easily shared and used across teams, partner closely with technical teams and clients to understand challenges and develop scalable solutions, and clearly communicate findings and recommendations so stakeholders can act on the data effectively. This position requires working onsite five days a week and holding an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience with Python-based data analysis, including anomaly detection and techniques for exploratory data analysis (EDA). 5+ years of experience developing data models, such as semantic taxonomies or ontologies, focusing on cross-system interoperability and machine-to-machine compatibility. 5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions with APIs and SDKs along with data integration skills. Practical experience structuring, curating, and normalizing disparate data sources, particularly in complex settings with operational constraints. Advanced knowledge of semantic web technologies, such as RDF, OWL, JSON-LD, SKOS, and SHACL. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or other agile development platforms. An understanding of geospatial data formats (e.g., Geo
JSON, WKT
) and expertise in specialized ISR-specific data workflows. Knowledge of event-driven data design patterns, streaming solutions, and data governance frameworks. Knowledge of IC-compliant standards and frameworks for managing sensitive or classified data.
