Job Description

Job Description The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Intelligence Systems portfolio, is seeking an Experienced Data Scientist to join our Mission Operations team in Herndon, VA. Our team focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area which design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers. This Data Scientist position performs data analytics development and data visualization to meet business requirements and provide data to the engineering teams to decrease risk and ensure engineering excellence.
Position Responsibilities:
Developing data analytics capabilities in Python to solve business problems Developing automated processes/scripts to capture and analyze data to track Key Performance Indicators across a large-scale distributed system Assisting with system designs to enable data science capabilities Assisting with maintaining data quality Analyzing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and suggesting optimizations to improve overall system efficiency and responsiveness Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps Participating in the planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring compatibility and adherence to best practices Staying up to date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and security practices, and continuously improving skills and knowledge Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): This position requires an active
TS/SCI U.S.
Security Clearance and current FSP (Full Scope Polygraph) (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) 3+ years of experience in Data Science Experience developing data analytics with Python Experience with common data analysis and data visualization Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Associate degree or higher in a relevant field Experience with common Python packages used for data science Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP Certifications in Data Science and/or
Data Visualization Conflict of Interest:
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Contract Program Award:
The position is contingent upon The Boeing Company receiving program award for a proprietary program.

Pay & Benefits:
