Job Description

Data Scientist II Suffolk, VA/Onsite /Active Secret clearance required Blu Omega is seeking a Data Scientist II to support a federal program focused on data analytics and operational intelligence. This role operates within an onsite environment in Suffolk, VA, and is responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing visualizations, and applying data-driven techniques to support Navy decision-making. The position requires experience supporting data visualization, analytics tools, and stakeholder engagement within a mission-driven environment.

Active Secret clearance required (must be current and transferable)
Work Authorization:
U.S. Citizenship required Responsibilities Analyze, standardize, and interpret large datasets to solve business problems Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and data engineering Build and deliver data visualizations and dashboards Apply data-driven and machine learning techniques to mission needs Support data visualization across platforms, including Power BI, Tableau, and SharePoint Support government clients with data integration, workflow automation, and process improvement Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements and ensure security and compliance adherence Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering Experience with databases, coding, data visualization, and analytic tools Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Power BI Experience supporting government clients Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and leadership briefings Preferred Qualifications Power FX experience (advanced logic and formulas within Power Platform)
Compensation Salary Range:
$90,000.00 - $130,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
