Overview Cypress Water Services, Inc. (CWS) is a family owned and operated company providing contract water, distribution and wastewater operation and management services in the Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and San Mateo Counties. This position involves the assistance with data management and report generation for compliance related documents required by the State and Local agencies for the projects we oversee. Job Description Assists with the tasks to implement, maintain and comply with all water quality and environmental regulations and programs within our service area. Primary responsibilities focus on drinking water and wastewater regulatory compliance reporting. Ideal Candidate Laboratory Analytical Experience (relating to water & wastewater) Essential Functions Review, assess & upload laboratory & field data information into various reporting formats Submit completed reports to appropriate governmental agencies Generate/Update various internal/external facility management documents as required Review & respond to various company email addresses as needed Assist with inputting, importing and monitoring data in various state database programs including state and federal data collection and state testing systems Organizes data information to be input and/or revised Reviews data for accuracy and completeness Performs other duties similar to the above in scope and function as required High school diploma or equivalent required Good communication skills Proficient PC skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsQualifications Knowledge of:
Record keeping principles and procedures Modern office practices, methods, and computer equipment Computer applications related to the work English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and punctuation Ability to: Comprehend and understand complex rules and regulations Manage and monitor complex projects, on-time and within budget Understand techniques used to compile data and manipulate it into spreadsheets and databases Establish and maintain a variety of filing, recordkeeping, and tracking systems Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner; organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines Operate modern office equipment including computer equipment and specialized software applications programs Use English effectively to communicate in person, over the telephone and in writing with the public, vendors, contractors, and District staff Effectively represent the Company in contacts with governmental agencies, community groups and various businesses, professional, educational, regulatory, and legislative organizations Work independently and as part of a team Show diligence, attention to detail through meeting deadlines, organization and ability to compile data using applicable software. Communicate clearly both orally and in writing Establish effective working relationships with others Promote the values, standards, and overall mission of an effective public organization, particularly in the area of water system managementMinimum Position Qualifications:
