ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain various data related to files, demographics, attendance, and registration records or other according to department specialization; receive, verify, and enter data into required programs or formats. Assist with pre-registration and registration. Research or request SSIDs from state system for new enrollees; search for students in state system, pull SSID if student already exists, or request new SSID for those who do not already exist in the system. Enter data files, attendance, testing, conference, special services, and student outcome data. Prepare standardized and custom reports of student information. Cross reference data in information systems to ensure accuracy and completeness. Recognize problems in source documents and correct or call to the attention of supervisor or designated liaison. Prepare, assemble, and distribute a variety of information and reports to teachers, resource specialists, and others connected with student services; compile data and generate reports for special education, District, and State agencies. Support for integration and rostering between SIS and other district software. Provide basic technical support for accessing and searching computer-aided data management applications/systems; assist with maintenance of user accounts, correct integration errors with local student information systems and reset passwords as needed. Reviews data for use in arranging and sequencing related services such as but not limited to, transportation, health care providers, accommodations and adaptations. May maintain files of student individualized education plans. Reviews files for updates, etc. Collects, verifies, and organizes data for student accounting reports. Collects and audits information for determining average daily attendance, ensuring that attendance is maximized through accurate recording of student activity. Prepares periodic reports to funding and reimbursing agencies, including those connected with student attendance. Prepares, assembles and distributes a variety of information and reports to teachers, resource specialists, and others connected with student services. Compiles data and generates reports for special education, District, and State agencies. Provides basic technical support to other staff accessing and searching computer-aided data management applications/systems. Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination equivalent to: an Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, Math, or related field and two (2) years of data entry experience that includes data control and preparation of special reports. Additional higher education may substitute for some experience (Click "View Job Description" for further details)
