This role helps ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness so production, planning, procurement, inventory, and reporting processes can operate reliably. 1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain master data records such as material parts masters, bills of materials, routings, work centers, vendors, customers, and pricing records in ERP or MRP systems according to established governance rules and approval workflows.
- Review incoming data requests for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization before setup or change processing.
- Monitor data quality, identify duplicate or incomplete records, and drive corrective actions to improve data integrity.
- Partner with Production Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT to define and maintain manufacturing data standards.
- Support new product introduction and engineering changes by setting up and maintaining materials, BOMs, routings, and related planning attributes.
- Maintain standardized product hierarchies, units of measure, lead times, lot-sizing rules, and MRP parameters to support effective planning and execution.
- Perform recurring audits and clean-up activities to retire obsolete data and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Investigate master data issues affecting production orders, purchasing transactions, inventory accuracy, or customer fulfillment and coordinate timely resolution.
- Document work instructions, SOPs, process maps, and data governance standards related to manufacturing master data.
- Support internal and external audits by providing records, approvals, and documentation related to data governance and control compliance.
- Contribute to ERP improvements, data migration activities, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives involving master data processes.
- Train end users and business stakeholders on master data standards, templates, and best practices.
- Performance measures: o Reduction in master data errors affecting production, inventory, purchasing, or fulfillment processes. o Improvement in setup cycle time for new materials and engineering changes. o Higher data quality scores and stronger audit readiness. o Better planning and execution performance supported by accurate MRP and manufacturing data.
- Show ownership to maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Two to five years of experience in master data, material master, or related data management roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Global Shop Systems (GSS), or similar business systems, ideally with exposure to supply chain or production-related modules.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing master data domains such as materials, BOMs, routings, work centers, vendors, customers, and planning parameters.
- Strong Excel and data validation skills for reviewing, cleansing, and reporting on structured data.
- Problem solving: Analytical, data-driven approach to identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Good understanding of production flow, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Safety and compliance mindset: Deep commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
- Change management: Ability to lead and support organizational change, introduce new processes or technologies, and drive adoption.
Collaboration:
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Production, Quality, Supply Chain, New Production Development, HR, and Finance.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Process-oriented mindset with an interest in standardization and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Experience with SAP or GSS, especially in MM, PP, or SD-related processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to master data governance or MDM tools and frameworks.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, data migration, or new product introduction projects.
- Basic SQL, reporting, or business intelligence experience. 3. Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site individual contributor role at a manufacturing facility.
- Requires regular presence on the production and warehouse floors and occasional off-hours support for critical issues or shift coverage.
- May involve occasional travel to other company sites. 4. Physical and Ergonomic Requirements
- Capable of donning PPE, including frocks, hoods, masks, goggles, gloves, and respirators, for brief periods to oversee operational tasks
