Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will support the Consolidation Services team by managing invoice processing, validating data, and assisting with various accounting-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for accuracy, a strong aptitude for problem-solving, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process manual invoices by verifying payee information, invoice dates, and purchase order numbers to ensure accuracy.
- Import and validate electronic invoice files from both corporate and franchise suppliers.
- Conduct thorough research to resolve duplicate invoice errors and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Create templates for new clients, ensuring compliance with specific client and vendor requirements.
- Maintain meticulous records by printing and filing invoices accurately to prevent financial losses.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to address and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Follow established guidelines and seek managerial input for deviations or complex issues.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet competing deadlines effectively. Requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience in accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices.
- Familiarity with 10-key accounting processes and numeric data entry.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply sound judgment in standardized situations.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
