Job Location:
This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. Why you'll love this position: Within the Division of Learning Services, the Office of Quality Schools works to manage the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP), the state's accreditation system for public school districts. This office also administers a wide range of state
  • and federally funded programs that assist local schools (Title I, Title III and other federal programs), charter and other innovative schools, as well as developing a statewide system of support for schools, communities and families.
Schools also are provided assistance on federal and state-developed improvement initiatives which are coordinated with other state and regional services. Responsibilities
  • What you'll do Assists in preparing state board summary reports for school district classification.
Updates manuals and technical documents for school improvement section. Analyze proper certification list for teachers, principals and superintendents. Synthesize data from section applications to prepare statistical reports. Analyze data from various sources to look for trends, themes, and areas of strength or concern. Create and interpret queries, statistical and other reports to retrieve data from databases Evaluate statistical data to establish norms to determine compliance with regulations and/or policies. Retrieve data and prepare statistical reports. Compare data to establish norms to determine compliance with regulations and or policies. Create and maintain spreadsheets to facilitate analyses and/or track information. Assist IT staff and other consultants to develop and maintain section data systems. Suggest and implement strategies for data collection, dissemination and analysis. Communicate with district personnel, assisting them with the Web applications, interpreting rules and instructions for the submission and updating of data. Request and/ or receive data from external sources. Complete necessary documents and forms to receive computerized data for analysis. Prepare correspondence to communicate results of analysis. Provide technical assistance to co-workers and clients to provide service. Answer telephone to route calls to appropriate person or take messages. Transfer documents using a secure file transfer protocol (FTP). Schedule appointments for section staff. Assist with conference planning and implementation. Maintain effective working relationships with Department staff, other state and local agencies, and the public. Work in an organized manner with data and systems management. Performs other related work as assigned. Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance. Qualifications
