Community Services Team—which includes the Senior Project Director, HMIS Manager, and HMIS System Administrators—the HMIS Data Specialist plays an integral role in supporting the functionality, reliability, and effectiveness of the HMIS. This individual assists with reviewing, maintaining, and validating HMIS data related to housing programs, service utilization, and participant outcomes to ensure information is accurate, complete, and timely. Under the guidance of the HMIS Manager, they support the preparation of HUD‑aligned reports, dashboards, and data exports, and help identify common data entry issues or inconsistencies across partner agencies. They also provide day‑to‑day HMIS support and translate reporting requirements into clear, user‑friendly guidance for providers. They communicate professionally, ask thoughtful questions, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. With a commitment to data confidentiality and integrity, they use their technical skills to strengthen data reliability, support compliance, and contribute to improved housing outcomes for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.https:

Help the Helpers by providing an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to improve systems and outcomes for children and families. The Community Services Division at CCFL provides a range of services including planning, research, evaluation, and system and program development. A major focus within Community Services is housing and homelessness. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail‑oriented data professional with a foundational understanding of data analysis, reporting, and data quality. They are eager to support data‑driven decision‑making for public and community‑based programs, including the City of Lincoln and the Nebraska Balance of State Continuum of Care (CoC). Skilled at translating validated, multi‑source data into clear reports and actionable insights, they collaborate effectively with stakeholders while upholding strong standards of data integrity and confidentiality. Their interest in using information to strengthen housing stability, program effectiveness, and client‑centered services guides their work and contributes to improved outcomes for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus 1-year experience in data management, data analysis, or reporting concepts using Excel, Tableau, Looker, SPSS or other similar data/reporting software. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain information in a professional, user‑friendly manner. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree plus 3-year experience in data management, data analysis, or reporting concepts using Excel, Tableau, Looker, SPSS or other similar data/reporting software. Experience or coursework related to HMIS, housing programs, homelessness services, or public sector/nonprofit data systems. Familiarity with HUD‑aligned reporting, dashboards, or data exports (e.g., APRs, system performance measures, or basic program reports).
