Job Purpose The Data Entry Specialist is an essential member of the Donor Services & Insights Team and integral to the overall success of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada's fundraising program. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Development Department with a focus on gift processing and acknowledgment while helping to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the donor database/CRM. The Data Entry Specialist works collaboratively with other members of the Donor Services and Insights Team, sharing in the scope of work and cross training to help cover other activities as needed. This position reports to the Donor Services & Insights Manager.

Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance 403b savings plan Paid time off and holidays Training and professional development opportunities Friendly and collaborative work environment Essential Functions, include but are not limited to: Responsible for servicing as the first point of contact for donors, ensuring inquiries are handled with professionalism and care, timely responses, accuracy, and respect. Responsible for meeting deadlines set to uphold prompt and accurate data entry and gift processing. Responsible for editing, generating and printing timely donation acknowledgments and thank you letters. Responsible for generating deposit reports and adjustment reports for the Finance Department. Create new donor records while guarding against duplicate records. Process returned mail and update donor records accordingly. Generate lists and reports from the donor database/CRM as needed for internal purposes and outside vendors. Maintain accurate and relevant donor database/CRM and ensure data entered adheres to standard operating procedures and best practices. Assist other members of the Donor Services and Insights Team as needed, with donor services projects and tasks. Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all donor records, transactions, data, research and communications, respecting the anonymity of each donor's identity, as directed by the donor and department policy. Other duties as assigned by the Donors Services and Insights Manager.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of two years' data entry experience required. Required Certifications/Licenses (if applicable): N/A Valid Nevada driver's license and proof of insurance.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Data entry and database experience in a nonprofit and/or fundraising environment. Experience with database reports and lists generation and data analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including proper phone etiquette. Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities, reallocate time as needed, and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills (database, word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet). Able to take direction well, using active listening skills, asking questions and taking notes if necessary. Demonstrated track record of coordinating and completing multiple tasks or projects through effective prioritization and workflow management. Impeccable ethical business practices. Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance. Excellent history of attendance and on-time performance.

Travel :
Occasional travel required to meet specific job responsibilities for meetings, trainings, conferences, donor and program site visits, etc.. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday; however, the employee may be asked to work some overtime hours, especially during the busy holiday giving season, October-January, to manage high volume of gifts. Occasional overnight travel to attend training workshops/conferences may be required. Work Environment/Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in an office setting approximately 100% of the time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle, feel, and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Employee may need to occasionally lift 25-30 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee utilizes a computer for a significant portion of the day in the performance of duties. While performing the responsibilities of the job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the job holder will encounter.
