Hospital - Quality Data Specialist (Reporting)

The Hospital Quality Data Specialist collects, analyzes, coordinates, and reports hospital performance data to support quality and safety improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates with clinical teams and leadership to ensure data integrity and timeliness of data submissions, identify trends, and drive improvements in patient care and safety. Support hospital compliance with reporting requirements based on Joint Commission, CMS, and UT Health-based quality compliance requirements. Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare- or data-related field 2 or more years of experience in healthcare quality reporting, quality improvement, clinical data abstraction, data analysis, and/or related areas. Proficiency in data analytics tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Epic. Understanding of healthcare quality measure specifications (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, HEDIS). Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Experience with tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or SQL.
