Job Description

QA/QC Field Engineer Location:
Clarksville, AR Work Arrangement:
On-site We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Field Engineer to serve as the operations team's on-site representative during data center construction projects. This role ensures construction quality meets operational requirements before facility turnover. The QA/QC Field Engineer will act as the guardian of construction and engineering quality, responsible for implementing and monitoring quality management systems throughout the full project lifecycle. This position bridges the gap between quality engineering standards and practical construction execution, requiring regular on-site presence at project locations and close collaboration with design engineers, project delivery managers, commissioning teams, contractors, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Implement and uphold QA/QC standards by enforcing standardized checklists and acceptance criteria to verify that all work meets design specifications and quality standards. Conduct on-site inspections and quality walkdowns, participating in construction site reviews to identify issues or deviations from specifications across all disciplines, with an emphasis on mission-critical MEP systems. Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and drawings, including quality control inspections of materials and workmanship. Identify and report safety hazards or discrepancies, ensuring adherence to safe work practices and procedures. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data center design engineers, project delivery managers, commissioning teams, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure facility construction aligns with operational requirements and best practices. Review data center MEP designs and discipline plans for new builds and fit-outs, providing operations-focused feedback to improve maintainability and reliability. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection records, test results, and as-built drawings. Verify installation process quality against contract documents, including labeling, sizing, torque, components, and location. Provide recommendations and solutions for identified issues, not just problem identification. Resolve engineering issues and constraints through communication with designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
