High availability Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle databases to ensure peak performance, high availability, and security. Your expertise will help drive the success of our data infrastructure, supporting critical business operations and strategic initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge database technologies and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Monitor database performance using advanced tuning techniques and implement improvements to optimize speed and efficiency. Manage high availability solutions to guarantee continuous database access and minimal downtime. Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard vital data assets. Write and maintain complex PL/SQL scripts for automation, data manipulation, and reporting purposes. Perform database design tasks, including schema creation, indexing strategies, and data modeling to support scalable applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and scripting languages such as Bash or Shell Scripting on Linux platforms. Conduct performance tuning exercises across various databases including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle to ensure optimal operation. Requirements Proven experience in database administration with a focus on Oracle databases in enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of SQL programming, PL/SQL development, and performance tuning techniques. Hands-on experience with high availability configurations such as RAC (Real Application Clusters) or Data Guard. Proficiency in Linux operating systems along with Bash or Shell Scripting for automation tasks. Familiarity with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases is a plus. Solid understanding of database design principles and ETL processes for data integration projects. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly while maintaining meticulous documentation of procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
