Job Description

Summary Join Ingram Micro to lead the design and evolution of enterprise-scale Oracle database pipelines. We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Design & Administration to execute strategies across Oracle platforms, messaging frameworks, and data pipeline architecture. This role is essential in ensuring our technical solutions align seamlessly with global business domain needs.
Your Role Technical Ownership:
Lead the daily engineering of Oracle database pipelines and complex data replication processes.
Business Mapping:
Partner with stakeholders to ensure database architectures accurately reflect core business processes (orders, vendors, customers) while preserving data integrity.
Core Engineering:
Perform advanced PL/SQL engineering, including the development of triggers, procedures, and packages, alongside rigorous performance tuning.
Middleware Support:
Support and troubleshoot IBM MQ architecture; manage queue-level operations, backlog analysis, and message flow integrity.
Observability:
Monitor daily latency and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) workflows to ensure data accuracy and prevent system downtime.
Modernization:
Contribute to multi-year modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations (GCP) and the automation of manual database tasks.
Problem Solving:
Resolve complex cross-platform data flow issues and document solutions to enhance long-term system efficiency. What You Bring to the Role Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of relevant technical experience in Database Engineering or Administration, with a deep focus on the Oracle ecosystem. Advanced proficiency in Oracle database engineering and PL/SQL development. Hands-on experience managing Message Queuing (MQ) and distributed data flows. Solid understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC) processes and data integration methodologies.
Performance Tuning:
Proven ability to identify and resolve inefficient database operations and optimize query performance.
Collaboration:
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexities for cross-functional stakeholders.
Reliability:
Strong understanding of high-availability concepts and a commitment to data reliability in large-scale production environments. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Mainframe technologies or legacy data structures. Experience with Cloud data migrations (specifically Google Cloud Platform). Proficiency in scripting for automation (e.g., Python or Java). #LI-RT1
