Teradata Database AdministratorExperience:
10+ yearsResponsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Teradata databases and related infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, query optimization, and workload management (TASM/TIWM)
- Manage space, user access, roles, and security profiles
- Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations (ARC/BAR)
- Collaborate with developers and data teams to tune SQL and data models
- Handle database upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT
- Experience with Teradata utilities: ViewPoint, Teradata Studio, TDCH
- Knowledge of Teradata architecture (nodes, AMPs, PEs, parsing engines)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and scripting (Shell/Python)
- Understanding of ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts Good to
Have:
- Teradata Vantage experience
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with Teradata on cloud
- ITIL / ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
- Medicaid knowledge
