Job Description

Role:
Teradata Database Administrator Experience:
8+ years
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Teradata databases and related infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance, query optimization, and workload management (TASM/TIWM)
  • Manage space, user access, roles, and security profiles
  • Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations (ARC/BAR)
  • Collaborate with developers and data teams to tune SQL and data models
  • Handle database upgrades, patching, and migrations
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability.
Required Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT
  • Experience with Teradata utilities: ViewPoint, Teradata Studio, TDCH
  • Knowledge of Teradata architecture (nodes, AMPs, PEs, parsing engines)
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and scripting (Shell/Python)
  • Understanding of ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts Good to
Have:
  • Teradata Vantage experience
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with Teradata on cloud
  • ITIL / ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Medicaid knowledge
