Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, optimize, and support enterprise Teradata environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Teradata database administration, performance tuning, workload management, backup and recovery, security administration, capacity planning, and disaster recoveryKey Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Teradata database environments.
- Manage database security, users, roles, and access controls.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and database health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and production issues.
- Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
- Configure and manage Teradata Workload Manager (TWM/TDWM).
- Support capacity planning, upgrades, and system scalability.
- Implement security, auditing, and compliance controls.
- Automate DBA tasks using Python or Shell scripting.
- Collaborate with ETL, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure teams, maintain documentation and provide ongoing production support.
