Installation and Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and other data centre hardware. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor the performance of data Center systems, identify and resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal uptime. Physical Infrastructure:
Manage the physical infrastructure of the data centre, including power, cooling, and cabling. Security:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Collaboration:
Work with other IT staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations. Staying Up to Date:
Keep abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in data centre operations. Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of server hardware, networking protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively. Physical Dexterity:
Ability to work in a data centre environment, including lifting and moving equipment. Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely. Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco certifications) can be beneficial.
