 Monday- Friday, 1st shift

Location:

 Hybrid, onsite 4 days plus as needed after initial trail period of two weeks fully onsite. •Candidate will split the 4 days in the office between BOC, Midtown and Lake Kathy as they will be working with project teams at various locations (co-located teams) •Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join a collaborative team of five DBAs and additional contract resources supporting an enterprise-wide database landscape. This role combines project-based work and operational support, with a strong emphasis on database architecture, cloud strategy, and cross-team collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to contribute to strategic initiatives such as cloud migration and database modernization. Key Responsibilities Participate as a core member of the DBA team supporting enterprise database environments Collaborate with project teams to design and recommend database architectures aligned with business requirements and IT standards Develop and maintain reference architectures for review and approval by IT and business stakeholders Contribute to the development and implementation of database cloud strategies Lead and support migration efforts from on-premises databases to cloud platforms where appropriate Build new database systems or modify existing systems, producing required deliverables Document environment changes and ensure effective communication within the DBA team Support migration from local backup solutions to enterprise backup platforms (e.g., NetBackup) Work closely with internal developers, business users, integrators, and contract resources Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DBA team members Participate in on-call support rotations Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience with: Microsoft SQL Server Oracle Database Solid understanding of: Database architecture and design principles High availability, disaster recovery, and replication strategies ETL processes and tools Data warehousing concepts Experience with: Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS preferred) Database migrations (on-prem to cloud) Data Factory and/or SSIS Strong documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment Proven experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills PostgreSQL experience PowerShell scripting Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including ARM templates or Bicep Experience with Snowflake or modern data warehousing platforms Experience Requirements Approximately 10 years of relevant database administration experience Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
