Contract Job Overview:

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Oracle PL/SQL solutions, supporting cloud-based database environments, optimizing large-scale data processing systems, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and data integrity across enterprise applications. The role involves cloud integration, ETL development, production support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable database solutions.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience. Deep expertise in PL/SQL including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. Advanced SQL development and performance tuning experience. Strong experience with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, 19c, or higher. Hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse on Azure. Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift. Strong understanding of cloud-based data warehousing architectures. Experience optimizing cloud data processing for scalability and cost efficiency. Ability to work independently in an individual contributor role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Strong attention to detail with focus on performance and quality.

Experience:

7 12+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience. Experience with cloud database platforms including AWS and Azure. Experience with data warehousing and large-scale data processing. Experience supporting production environments and resolving database performance issues.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. Write efficient, scalable, and reusable database code. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data processing and reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related performance and production issues. Collaborate with architects and DBAs on data modeling, schema design, and indexing strategies. Perform advanced query tuning using explain plans and performance tools. Optimize database workloads for high-volume and high-throughput systems. Ensure data consistency, integrity, and performance across systems. Work with databases deployed on cloud platforms including AWS and Azure. Support migration of on-premises databases to cloud environments. Integrate PL/SQL-based systems with cloud services, APIs, and data pipelines. Develop and maintain ETL processes, batch jobs, and data pipelines. Support data transformation, ingestion, and reporting needs. Follow coding, version control, and documentation best practices. Participate in peer code reviews and technical design discussions. Support testing, deployment, and release cycles. Provide L2/L3 support for database and data-related issues. Monitor systems and proactively improve stability and efficiency.

Should Have:

Familiarity with Azure ecosystem including networking, security, and integration with Autonomous Data Warehouse. Familiarity with AWS ecosystem including S3, IAM, and Redshift data ingestion. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting. Experience with ETL frameworks and tools.
